6.55 (1.53%) Tata Power, India’s largest integrated power company has been awarded the Letter of Intent (LOI) for the distribution franchise of Jamshedpur circle by the Jharkhand State Electricity Board (JSEB). The distribution franchise awarded to the company will be for a period of 15 years.
Tata Power will be responsible for operating and maintaining the distribution network in the Jamshedpur circle, which includes Jamshedpur, Tata Steel city, Adityapur and Ghatsila divisions. The company will also be managing the billing and collections. As already seen at Delhi, where the existing employees adopted to Tata culture of transparency and customer orientation quickly, Team Tata Power looks forward to working closely with all employees of JSEB who would be willing to realign themselves to serve customers with efficiency and superior customer care.
Tata Power has a strong portfolio of wind power comprising of 376.4 MW of installed wind generating capacity, which makes it one of the largest renewable players in India. The wind farms of the company are spread across four states, viz. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Karnataka.
