Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M), country’s leading sport utility vehicle (SUV) manufacturer, has reportedly restored talks to buy US based aircraft maker, Hawker Beechcraft. Prior to this, the company had lost its bid to acquire Beechcraft due to Chinese firm Superior Aviation Beijing but now Beechcraft is likely to invite bids again for a sale process as its talks with the Chinese firm may have failed.

The company is a small player in the aircraft business and had purchased majority stakes in aerospace supplier Aerostaff Australia and turboprop manufacturer Gippsland Aeronautics.
