Carol Info Services gets nod to sell nutrition manufacturing business

Carol Info Services has received its board’s approval for sale / transfer / disposal of Nutrition Manufacturing Business of the Company along with its manufacturing plant located at Lalru in India to G&K Baby Care Private, an affiliate of the Danone Group. The company’s board gave approval for the same at their meeting held on August 22, 2011.

Earlier in this month, the company had signed an agreement with Danone to divest its nutrition manufacturing business along with its manufacturing plant located at Lalru in India.

Carol Info Services, incorporated as Wockhardt Life Sciences, is engaged in the manufacture and sale of nutrition products in India. The company is a subsidiary of Khorakiwala Holdings and Investments. The company is engaged in manufacturing neutraceuticals and other milk-based products on job work basis.
