2.25 (0.65%) Tata Motors, country’s largest automotive company is planning to introduce Nano’s CNG version in the next six months. It will be followed by a diesel variant and a second-generation car three years on. The company witnessed resurgence in Nano sales with 9,000 units sold last month. The company plans to introduce the CNG version of Nano in the first half of 2013 and plans to target overseas markets including Europe, ASEAN and South Africa.
The company’s global sales declined by 4% and stood at 103,656 units in September. The global sales of all commercial vehicles, including those of Tata, Tata Daewoo and the Tata Hispano Carrocera range, was up by 3% in the month under review at 54,761 units. However, the company’s passenger vehicles sales last month were lower by 11% at 48,895 units.
