-1.60 (-0.66%) Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is going to scale up natural gas production from a KG basin block to 2.5-3 million standard cubic meters per day by May this year and will hit the peak output sometime in 2023-24. ONGC last year started gas production from the $ 5.07 billion KG-DWN-98/2 project in the Krishna Godavari basin, off the east coast of India.
ONGC is India’s largest government-run corporation and produces about 70% of India’s crude oil and natural gas. The corporation is the biggest public sector commercial organization in India.
