L&T surges on delivering 100 units of K-9 Vajra howitzer to Indian Army

Larsen & Toubro is currently trading at Rs. 1531.05, up by 5.60 points or 0.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 1525.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1520.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1547.30 and Rs. 1520.50 respectively. So far 59374 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1593.00 on 02-Feb-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 661.05 on 25-Mar-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1573.65 and Rs. 1515.20 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 215882.75 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 54.91% and 45.09%, stake in the company respectively.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has supplied 100 units of indigenously made K-9 Vajra-T 155 mm/ 52 calibre self-propelled guns to the Indian army. With the flagging-off of the 100th howitzer, the company has successfully completed delivery of all guns under the existing contract awarded to it by the Ministry of Defence in May 2017. It has maintained its track record of ‘ahead of time deliveries’ of complex platforms. L&T Defence produced the 'K9 VAJRA' under a contract awarded to it through global competitive bidding.

The production of complex platforms like the K9 VAJRA contributes to the Indian economy with a large multiplier effect, creates new job opportunities and plays a significant role in enhancing India's industrial ecosystem.
