SBI, RITES and Bharat Dynamics to see some action today

State Bank of India’s (SBI) subsidiary company -- SBI General Insurance has tied-up with Indian Overseas Bank (IOB) for a bancassurance partnership for selling its non-life products. Through the alliance, SBI General will offer a range of general insurance solutions and innovative products to IOB customers. The partnership will improve penetration in urban, tier II, and tier III markets and will also help create awareness about personal lines of insurance.

RITES has secured major orders amounting to Rs 93 crore approximately. The company has received Turnkey order of signalling works from Ministry of Railways amounting to Rs 67.18 crore and Extension of general consultancy work for Nagpur Metro rail project and GEC positions from Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation amounting to Rs 26 crore. 

Bharat Dynamics (BDL) has received order amounting to Rs 372.98 crore (excluding GST) towards supply of MRSAM Missile Rear Sections for Indian Air Force deliverables. The order has to be executed on or before November 30, 2023 in lots.  

Hero MotoCorp has reported a 1.45 percent increase in total sales at 5,05,467 units in February. The company had sold 4,98,242 units in the same month of the previous year. Total motorcycle sales stood at 4,63,723 units last month as against 4,79,310 units in February 2020, down 3.25 per cent. Total scooter sales, however, increased over two fold to 41,744 units as compared with 18,932 units in the year-ago month.

BOC Aviation has signed purchase-and-leaseback agreements with InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo) for eight new Airbus A320NEO aircraft. The addition of these eight A320NEO aircraft demonstrates IndiGo‘s confidence in the future growth of the aviation market in India. The aircraft will be powered by CFM Leap engines and are scheduled to be delivered in the second half of 2021.

Prestige Estates Projects has signed a term sheet with BREP Asia II Indian Holding Co IX (NQ), BREP Asia II Indian Holding Co VII (NQ), BREP Asia II Indian Holding Co III (NQ) (collectively, BREP Acquirers) for investment in, or the acquisition of interest in, identified assets of the Company and / or its subsidiaries (including of identified office assets, retail assets, hotels assets and management / maintenance assets) in such manner as is detailed thereunder.

VST Tillers Tractors has sold 2666 units during February 2021 as compared to 1925 units in February 2020, a growth of 38.49% YoY. The company has sold 2159 power tillers in February 2021 as against 1361 in February 2020, registering a growth of 58.63% growth YoY. The company has sold 507 tractors during February 2021, as compared to 564 in February 2020, registering a drop of 10.10% YoY.
