Container Corporation of India spurts on reporting 33% rise in Q2 net profit

Container Corporation of India is currently trading at Rs. 1017.00, up by 10.50 points or 1.04% from its previous closing of Rs. 1006.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1009.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1021.50 and Rs. 1004.95 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1097.00 on 23-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 805.00 on 30-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1060.00 and Rs. 990.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 13,219 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 63.09% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.47% and 3.44% respectively.

The company has reported 32.53% rise in its net profit at Rs 232.47 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 175.41 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 6.17% at Rs 1135.84 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1069.83 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2011.
