NTPC trades higher on starting commercial operation of Unit-2 of Darlipali Super Thermal Power Station

NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 115.30, up by 0.30 points or 0.26% from its previous closing of Rs. 115.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 115.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 115.70 and Rs. 114.70 respectively. So far 108154 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 122.00 on 20-Jul-2021 and a 52 week low of Rs. 78.10 on 14-Oct-2020.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 116.25 and Rs. 111.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 111560.14 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.10%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 46.15% and 2.76% respectively.

NTPC has commenced commercial operation of Unit-2 of 800 MW capacity of Darlipali Super Thermal Power Station, Stage-I (2 x 800 MW) with effect from September 1, 2021. With this, the commercial capacity of NTPC and NTPC group will become 53225 MW and 66650 MW respectively.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
