Sequent Scientific temporarily shuts down Tarapur facility

Sequent Scientific has temporarily shut down its Tarapur facility post accident. The Tarapur facility which manufactures drug and drug intermediaries has reported a gas leak last night (September 20, 2011). Though, the effects have been contained last night itself, but the incident resulted in the sad demise of 4 workers, and injuries to a few other workers due to which the plant has been temporarily shutdown. 

Further, an internal committee has been set up to investigate into the accident. The company is also co-operating with the police/ other regulatory agencies who are conducting their investigations.
