-6.00 (-1.74%) Tata Motors’s wholly owned subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) is reportedly planning to incur capital expenditure of Rs 18,000 crore a year over the medium term, mainly for product development. Through this capex programme, JLR aims to achieve diversified growth, strengthen its business risk profile and maintain its competitive position.
Recently, Jaguar Land Rover and Chinese car maker Chery Automobile Company have started setting up a new manufacturing facility in China under the equal partnership, called Chery Jaguar Land Rover Automotive Company. Both the companies have received Chinese government approval for the same.
