4.15 (0.99%) Coal India’s (CIL) coal production has increased by 4.1% to 53.8 million tonnes (MT) in November, 2021 as against 51.7 MT in November 2020. The company’s production in the April- November 2021 period increased 5.6 per cent to 353.4 MT, compared with 334.5 MT in the year-ago period.
The company's offtake also increased by 10.8% to 56.8 MT in November, 2021, over 51.3 MT in the corresponding month of the previous financial year. Its offtake in the April- November 2021 period also increased by 17.9% to 421.1 MT over 357.1 MT in the year-ago period.
Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
