The Oriental Insurance Company has been categorised to public category from promoter category shareholder in Axis Bank. In October, applications were made to BSE and NSE for reclassification of The New Oriental Insurance Co to public category from promoter category.

Axis Bank is the third largest private sector bank in India. The bank offers the entire spectrum of services to customer segments covering Large and Mid-Corporates, SME, Agriculture and Retail Businesses.
