Tata Motors reports 26% rise in total sales in January

Tata Motors has reported 26 percent rise in total sales to 72,485 units in January 2022 as compared to 57,649 units the same month last year. In the passenger vehicle segment, the company witnessed 51% growth to 40,777 units in January 2022, as against 26,978 units in January 2021.

Commercial vehicle sales in the domestic market stood at 35,268 units, up 7 percent from 32,816 units in January 2021. Besides, the company’s sales in the domestic & international market for January 2022 stood at 76,210 vehicles, up 27% as against 59,866 units during January 2021. 

Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
