L&T Construction, the wholly owned subsidiary of L&T, has secured new orders valued over Rs 1,002 crore across various business segments in November and till date in December 2012.

The company’s Power Transmission& Distribution business bagged order worth Rs 742 crore in domestic and international markets. This includes a major order secured in Qatar for setting up of 220kv, 515 MVA cable system while, on domestic front, the company has won order from Tamil Nadu Transmission Corporation for a 400/230-110 kv AIS substation at Kayathar, Thirunelveli and a 230/110 kv GIS Substation at Guindy, Chennai.

In addition, L&T Construction has secured orders worth Rs 260 crore from ongoing projects across various business units.
