Hindalco Industries soars as its consolidated net profit doubles in Q4

Hindalco Industries is currently trading at Rs. 412.05, up by 4.30 points or 1.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 407.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 422.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 426.85 and Rs. 406.10 respectively. So far 494275 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 636.00 on 29-Mar-2022 and a 52 week low of Rs. 359.80 on 18-Jun-2021.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 428.00 and Rs. 389.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 92077.90 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.64%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 48.08% and 13.55% respectively.

Hindalco Industries has reported 3-fold jump in its net profit at Rs 1601 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 495 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 32.31% at Rs 19138 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 14465 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported rise of 99.74% in its net profit at Rs 3851 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2022 as compared to Rs 1928 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 37.75% at Rs 56057 crore for Q4FY22 as compared Rs 40696 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, the company has reported above 5- fold jump in its net profit at Rs 5507 crore as compared to Rs 993 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 57.29% at Rs 68188 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 43351 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.

For the year ended March 31, 2022, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported above 3- fold jump in its net profit at Rs 13730 crore as compared to Rs 3483 crore for the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 47.29% at Rs 196195 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 133207 crore for year ended March 31, 2021.
