NTPC has reportedly awarded Amara Raja Power Systems a project to set up India's first green hydrogen fueling station in Leh, Ladakh. The project aims to bring in emission-free transport in and around Leh with a plan to ply five hydrogen fuel cell buses in the region. Furthermore, the project is being set up at a height of 3600 mts above sea level with a temperature variation of - 14 degrees to +20 degree Celsius.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
