NTPC has entered into business transfer agreement to transfer 15 renewable energy assets (RE Assets) to NTPC Green Energy (NGEL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC on July 08, 2022. The company has also entered into share purchase agreement to transfer 100% equity shareholding held in NTPC Renewable Energy (NREL), a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, to NGEL.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
