5.15 (0.56%) HDFC Bank, second largest private sector lender is eyeing to open 250 branches in the state of Gujarat over the period of next three years. The bank currently has 215 branches in the state and with the opening of the new branches the total number in the state would reach to 465 branches. The bank’s credit-deposit ratio in the state is at 105%.
The bank is planning to scale up its branch count against the backdrop of a slowdown in the country’s economy and mounting concerns over high fiscal and current account deficits.
