JSW Steel reports 86% fall in Q1 consolidated net profit

JSW Steel has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2022.

The company has reported a fall of 81.82% in its net profit at Rs 956 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 5,258 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 19.99% at Rs 31,388 crore for Q1FY23 as compared Rs 26,159 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 85.78% in its net profit at Rs 839 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 5,900 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased by 31.53% at Rs 38,275 crore for Q1FY23 as compared Rs 29,100 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
