Coal India’s arm inks MoU with WAPCOS

Central Coalfields (CCL), a Jharkhand-based subsidiary of Coal India, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with WAPCOS for development of nine eco-parks. The parks covering a total area of 126.47 hectares will be developed in Bokaro, Chatra and Hazaribag districts of Jharkhand.

The period of engagement of WAPCOS is for six years, including one year for development of the Eco parks and subsequent five years for maintenance. The last one year will be considered as self- sustainable period. The total cost for development of the nine parks will be around Rs 63 crore.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
