Axis Bank reports 85% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Axis Bank has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2022.

The bank has reported a rise of 90.97% in its net profit at Rs 4,125.26 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2,160.15 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 12.22% at Rs 21,727.61 crore for Q1FY23 as compared Rs 19,361.92 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the bank has reported a rise of 84.85% in its net profit at Rs 4,389.22 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2,374.50 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 13.12% at Rs 22,686.46 crore for Q1FY23 as compared Rs 20,055.70 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
