State owned power producer, NHPC’s Unit - 2 of Teesta Low Dam Project, Stage - III has been synchronized with grid on January 16, 2013. Recently, NHPC’s Unit 1, Unit 2 and Unit 3 of Chutak HE Project (4 x 11 MW) was declared under commercial operation with effect from November 29, 2012.

NHPC is engaged in the planning, development and implementation of an integrated and efficient network of hydroelectric projects in India. It executes all aspects of the development of hydroelectric projects, from concept to commissioning.
