NHPC has signed Implementation Agreement with Government of Himachal Pradesh for execution of 449 MW Dugar HE Project located in Chamba District, Himachal Pradesh. The project is a run of the river scheme on Chenab River. The estimated present day cost of the project is Rs 4112 crore and will generate 1610 MUs in a 90% dependable year with 95% machine availability.

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
