Dr Reddy’s Lab trades in green on the BSE

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories is currently trading at Rs. 1930.90, up by 11.50 points or 0.60% from its previous closing of Rs. 1919.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1920.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1939.00 and Rs. 1900.95 respectively. So far 34,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1952.00 on 16-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1528.00 on 19-Jun-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1948.00 and Rs. 1880.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 32797 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 25.56% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.15% and 17.63% respectively.

The country’s largest life insurer, Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has trimmed its stake in drug firm Dr Reddy’s Laboratories to 6.31%. The insurer has sold shares worth Rs 875.29 crore in the open market.

LIC held 8.38% stake in the pharma major before offloading about 35.25 lakh shares, accounting for around 2.07% shareholding. Following the transaction, LIC’s total shareholding in the company has come down to 6.31% from 8.38%.
