State owned power producer NHPC’s Unit - 4 of Chutak HE Project (4 x 11MW) has been declared under commercial operation with effect from February 01, 2013. The company has taken this step pursuant to successful trial run and demonstration of peaking capability corresponding to installed capacity of 11 MW.

Besides, Unit 1, 2 and 3 of the project are already under commercial operation with effect from November 29, 2012.

NHPC is engaged in the planning, development and implementation of an integrated and efficient network of hydroelectric projects in India. It executes all aspects of the development of hydroelectric projects, from concept to commissioning.
