Bharat Electronics (BEL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with IITM Pravartak Technologies Foundation for co-operation in the field of Distributed Acoustic Sensing. The MoU aims at leveraging the complementary strengths and capabilities of BEL and IITM to develop the technology of Distributed Acoustic Sensing. It will also enable BEL and IITM in addressing future business in perimeter security domain.

BEL is a multi-product, multi-technology, multi-unit conglomerate with various products in the areas of military communication, radars, naval systems, C4I systems, weapon systems, homeland security, telecom & broadcast systems, electronic warfare, tank electronics, electro-optics, professional electronic components and solar photovoltaic systems.
