Coal India’s subsidiary -- Northern Coalfields (NCL) has commissioned two electric shovels at its coal mines. The first shovel having 20 cubic meter bucket capacity has been commissioned at Jayant OCP, while the  second shovel with 12 cubic meter bucket capacity has been commissioned at Amlohri OCP.

Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
