Tata Steel has reported results for third quarter ended December 31, 2012.

The company has reported 26.38% fall in its net profit at Rs 1046.39 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 1421.26 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has increased by 9.63% at Rs 9406.03 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 8579.45 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported a net loss of Rs 763.06 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012 as compared to a net loss of Rs 602.67 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income from operation of the company has decreased by 3.57% at Rs 32,163.00 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 33,356.74 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011.
