Bajaj Auto reports 21% fall in January sales

Bajaj Auto has reported fall of 21% in total sales to 2,85,995 units in January 2023 as against 3,63,443 in the same month last year. Total domestic sales increased by 16% to 1,73,270 units in January 2023 as compared to 1,49,656 units in January 2022. Total export sales decreased by 47% to 1,12,725 units in January 2023 as compared to 2,13,787 units in January 2022.

Total domestic two-wheeler sales were up by 4% at 1,40,428 units as compared to 1,35,496 units in the year-ago month. Total domestic Commercial Vehicles sales stood at 32,842 units in January 2023 as against 14,160 units in January 2022, registering a rise of 132%.

Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
