Titan Industries’ flagship wing - Titan Eye Plus has inked collaborative pack with a leading Japanese firm to develop technology and production process in India for variety of lenses. It has decided to develop and produce specially coated lenses, which will be three to four times better than those in the global markets, in order to avoid scratches and cracks.
The entity is also planning to produce glasses and goggles for welders and industrial applications, with the help of technologies and production capability available in the Hosur factory near Bangalore. It also aims to launch these products by mid-2014.
