NHPC has raised Rs 996 crore on February 20,2023 through Unsecured, Redeemable, Non-convertible, Non-cumulative and Taxable 7.59% AD series bonds on Private placement basis. Date of maturity of said bonds will be on February 20, 2038.

NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
