PFC advances on proposed approval to Rs 50,000 crore worth of tax free bonds in FY14

Finance Minister, P Chidambaram in its Union Budget 2013-14 has proposed to approve Rs 50,000 crore worth of tax free bonds in FY14.

Power Finance Corporation (PFC) is currently trading at Rs. 205.85, up by 0.75 points or 0.37 % from its previous closing of Rs. 205.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 206.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 209.45 and Rs. 205.70 respectively. So far 117788 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 227.00 on 08-Feb-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 139.00 on 16-May-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 216.00 and Rs. 196.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 27528.91 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 73.72 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 19.82 % and 6.46 % respectively.

Last time, Finance Minister, Pranab Mukherjee announced Tax free bonds to be doubled to Rs 60,000 crore.
