NTPC’s wholly owned subsidiary -- NTPC Green Energy (NGEL) has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) for setting up of renewable energy projects to meet Round the Clock power requirement of IOC Refineries.

The signing of this Joint Venture Agreement between the two Maharatna behemoths will enable NTPC and Indian Oil to meet the Government of India's Clean Energy Targets in their respective core businesses.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
