Eicher Motors and Volvo Group’s joint venture firm, VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has reported a fall of 16.82% in total sales of Eicher branded products at 3,690 units in February 2013 against 4,436 units in the same month in 2012. The company had registered domestic sales at 3,538 units in February 2013 as against 4,186 units in the year-ago period, down by 15.48%.

The company’s exports went down by 39.20% during the month to 152 units from 250 units in February, 2012. Sales of light commercial vehicles, in the Indian market declined by 21.14% to 2,361 units during the month as compared to 2,994 units in the year-ago period.
