Date: 02-05-2023Coal India’s (CIL) coal production has increased by 7.7% to 57.6 million tonnes (MT) in April 2023 as against 53.5 MT in April 2022. The company's offtake increased by 8.6% to 62.4 MT in April, 2023, over 57.4 MT in the corresponding month of the previous financial year.
Coal India is the world’s largest coal mining company. It also produces non-coking coal and coking coal of various grades for diverse applications.
