-33.85 (-0.89%) Larsen & Toubro (L&T) is interested in working with the World Bank once again after the expiry of the six-month ban imposed on it by the multilateral agency after finding a company executive’s involvement in a fraud. The ban imposed by the World Bank for six months will be ending on September 6, 2013. So till September 6, 2013, L&T will be ineligible for any World Bank-funded projects, from receiving any loan proceeds made by the Bank or participating in any Bank-financed project.
L&T is the biggest legacy of two Danish Engineers, who built a world-class organization that is professionally managed and a leader in India's engineering and construction industry. It was the business of cement that brought the young Henning Holck-Larsen and S K Toubro into India.
