Bharti Airtel trades higher on the bourses

Bharti Airtel is currently trading at Rs. 316.55, up by 1.35 points or 0.43% from its previous closing of Rs. 315.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 314.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 320.00 and Rs. 311.00 respectively. So far 135952 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 370.40 on 25-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 238.50 on 30-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 327.00 and Rs. 314.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 120381.70 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 68.50% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.46% and 6.04% respectively.

Bharti Airtel is reportedly planning to sell up to 25% stake in its satellite TV services arm. In this regard, the company is in talks with United States-based Liberty Global Inc and a couple of private equity investors for a potential stake sale.

India’s top telecommunications carrier is looking at a valuation of little over $1 billion for the unit that had 7.9 million digital television customers as of December.
