Eicher Motors and Volvo Group’s joint venture (JV) company -- VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has posted an 11.6% growth in total sales at 6289 units in May 2023. VE Commercial Vehicles had sold 5637 units in May 2022. May 2023 sales included 6076 units of the Eicher brand and 213 units of the Volvo brand. 

In the domestic commercial vehicles market, Eicher branded trucks and buses recorded sales of 5826 units last month as compared to 5033 units in May 2022, i.e. reported 15.8% growth. Exports of Eicher branded trucks and buses, however, declined 46.9% at 250 units as compared to 471 units in May 2022. 

Eicher Motors is an India-based company, which is engaged in manufacturing automobile products and related components. The company operates in business verticals, including motorcycles, commercial vehicles and personal utility vehicles.
