NTPC has commenced commercial operation of the fifth and last part capacity of 50 MW of 300 MW Nokhra Solar PV Project of NTPC Green Energy (A wholly owned Subsidiary of NTPC) at Bikaner, Rajasthan, with effect from June 3, 2023. 

The first part capacity of 100 MW has already been declared on commercial operation with effect from December 20, 2022, second part capacity of 50 MW with effect from December 30, 2022, third part capacity of 50 MW with effect from February 16, 2023 and fourth part capacity of 50 MW with effect from April 01, 2023.

With this, installed and commercial capacity of NTPC Green Energy will become 2711 MW while group installed and commercial capacity of NTPC will become 72354 MW. 

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
