Country’s largest private telecom company, Bharti Airtel has launched 4G services in Chandigarh, expanding the footprint of its high-speed Internet service network.

Airtel is the only firm who is offering 4G services in India, covering cities of Kolkata, Bangalore and Pune. The company has roped in Chinese equipment maker ZTE to build and operate the 4G network in Chandigarh.

4G mobile Internet technology provides download speeds of around 100 Megabits per second (Mbps) on the move and it can go up to 1 Gigabits per second (Gbps) at a fixed location.
