Bharti Airtel’s one of promoter - Bharti Telecom has purchased over eight lakh shares of the telecom company through open market transactions. Bharti Telecom has picked 878,514 shares in Bharti Airtel worth around Rs 26.75 crore. These shares were bought through three different market transactions on March 18-19, 2013.

Pursuant to this transaction, the shareholding of Bharti Telecom in the company has increased to 45.72% from 45.70%.
