Maruti Suzuki India has reported 2.28% marginal rise in total sales of 159,418 units in June 2023 as compared to 155,857 units in June 2022. Sales of mini cars, comprising Alto and S-Presso, fell 2.69% to 14,054 units as compared with 14,442 units a year ago. Sales in the compact segment, including models such as Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift, Tour S, WagonR, declined 17.07% to 64,471 units as against 77,746 cars in June 2022. However, during the month under review, sales of mid-sized sedan Ciaz increased to 1,744 units over 1,507 units in June 2022.  

Utility vehicle sales, including Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Grand Vitara, Invicto, Jimny, S-Cross, XL6, reported 2- fold jump to 43,404 units as compared with 18,860 vehicles in the year-ago month. Exports, however, declined 17.05% to 19,770 units as against 23,833 units in the corresponding month last year.
