Maruti Suzuki India's production falls 5% in June

Maruti Suzuki India's production fell 5% to 137,133 units in June 2023. The company had a total production of 144,409 units in the same month a year ago. Production in mini cars and compact segment, comprising models such as Alto, S-Presso, Baleno, Celerio, Dzire, Ignis, Swift and WagonR, OEM Model decreased to 86,224 units in June 2023 as compared to 101,166 units in June 2022.

Light commercial vehicle Super Carry's production also fell to 3,335 units in June 2023 as against 3,661 units in June 2022. However, Production of utility vehicles, including Brezza, Ertiga, Fronx, Jimny, S-Cross and XL6, OEM Model was up at 35,128 units as compared to 28,002 units in the year-ago month.
