NTPC and the Government of Meghalaya have reportedly signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The MoU is for uplifting power infrastructure and connectivity across the state. It includes the Project Management Services (PMS) for Meghalaya Discom, the development of Power Supply Points (PSPs), and the implementation of Floating Solar projects in the state. It will also streamline the management and operations of Meghalaya Discom, ensuring efficient distribution of power and improved service delivery to the people. 

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
