Bajaj Auto trades with traction on the bourses

Bajaj Auto is currently trading at Rs. 1704.50, up by 30.60 points or 1.83% from its previous closing of Rs. 1673.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1665.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1711.95 and Rs. 1665.00 respectively. So far 18857 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2228.95 on 03-Jan-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1423.10 on 18-Jul-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1818.45 and Rs. 1657.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 49504.91 crore.

Bajaj Auto, the second-largest motorcycle manufacturer has filed a case against movie production house, JA Entertainment over the title of its upcoming movie. JA Entertainment is making a movie titled Hamara Bajaj, starring Ayushman Khurrana and Yami Gautam. Automaker has contented copyright infringement in its filing before the Bombay High Court.

Copyright infringement means unauthorized use of someone else’s work or intellectual property without the written permission of the copyright holder. The court ordered JA Entertainment not to promote, advertise or talk about the movie till further orders. It also directed the company not to release the movie till final judgment.
