NTPC has executed the a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with NTPC Mining for hiving-off its coal mining business, consisting of 6 coal mines.  The company has executed BTA on August 17, 2023. The BTA shall become effective upon completion of the conditions precedent mentioned in the BTA.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
