NTPC has been awarded as Business Leader in the power sector at the NDTV Business Leadership Awards held on April 9, 2013 in New Delhi. The award was presented by Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission of India in the presence of Prannoy Roy to Arup Roy Choudhury, CMD, NTPC. India’s top business leaders were awarded on the occasion.

NTPC is the largest power generating company in the country. It has also diversified into hydro power, coal mining, power equipment manufacturing, oil & gas exploration, power trading & distribution.
