National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) promoted - Ratnagiri Gas and Power’s (RGPPL) - Dabhol project has reported that its power generation has reached up to 1,300 MW from last two days against the total capacity of 1,967 MW. RGPPL had restarted generation from April 03.

Due to shortage of gas the power generator had shut its operation from March 01. It received 5.4 million metric standard cubic meter per day (MMSCMD) from ONGC to restart the project. RGPPL clarified that this gas supply is not long-term, so power generation will be more or less depending upon gas supply.

RGPPL owns an Integrated Power generation and Re-gasified LNG facility. The company was set-up in order to takeover and revive the assets of Dabhol Power Company Project.
