Eicher Motors and Volvo Group -- joint venture (JV) company -- VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has posted a 29.4% growth in total sales at 6476 units in August 2023. VE Commercial Vehicles had sold 5003 units in August 2022. August 2023 sales included 6239 units of the Eicher brand and 237 units of the Volvo brand. 

In the domestic commercial vehicles market, Eicher branded trucks and buses recorded sales of 5907 units last month as compared to 4530 units in August 2022, i.e. reported 30.4% growth. Exports of Eicher branded trucks and buses, however, declined 8.5% at 332 units as compared to 363 units in August 2022. 

Eicher Motors is an India-based company, which is engaged in manufacturing automobile products and related components. The company operates in business verticals, including motorcycles, commercial vehicles and personal utility vehicles.
